Safe subprocess wrapper — `execute(['cmd', 'arg'])` is a list-only API (no shell injection), with sensible defaults for capture, timeout, and error reporting. Drop-in replacement for `subprocess.run([...], check=True, capture_output=True, text=True)` boilerplate.
